brantly This is punk rock...the word 'core' does not need to be appended to any other descriptor for The Snubs. It's not a confusing pastiche of musical genres. Nope, it's fucking punk rock: it's catchy, it's vaguely political but strongly snarky, it's surpisingly refreshing in a world full of post-post-post-whatever-post-core, which is fine, but I still like drinking beer and jumping around the room loudly listening to 7" singles & this will get its share of Hamm's drinking bedlam. Great stuff.

Track Name: Witness Protection Program
Not a day goes by, where i dont miss the life
but i can't take back what's been done
i made my choice, i went against what i thought was right
and i made an enemy of everyone
now you dont see me around no more
underground farther than ever before
in a new city, in a different life
took a new name , staying outta sight
Now they call me "Mike"
I do my shopping in the middle of the night
My nosy neighbors think that I work in tech
But I'm bored to tears, what's the good of these golden years
When I walk around outside I'm a nervous wreck
I've been living in, witness protection
They've got me hiding out, because I decided to run my mouth
Track Name: I Can't Grow A Beard
I'm feeling greasy , getting fucking zits
Patchy like a teenager
And it looks like shit
Now I know , I can't grow a beard now I know
Can't grow , can't grow
I took a risk , moved to the northwest
With less hair on my face
Than there was on my chest
I ain't no lumberjack
I ain't no mountain man
I'm a clean cut kid
With a razor in my hand
Now I know the truth about it
Track Name: Do The Snub
Throw your hands in the air
Or run one through your hair
Leaving that handshake hanging there
Don't return phone calls
Or help someone who falls
Showing no respect for anybody at all
Won't return your waves
Avoid your gaze
Respond with awkward silence when you say "hey"
I got no time I cut in line
A prime example of a self-centered mind
I wanna show you how , make sure you know how to do
It right ....show no love, cold blood
When you're doing the snub
Do The Snub
Track Name: D-List ( I'm On The)
I was a child star back in '93
when i disappeared into a drug induced obscurity
i went on a reality rehab show
my decline was rapid , my recovery slow
but then something happened baby wouldn't ya know ?
i was re-discovered now i'm making some dough
i got a show where they follow me all around
makin an ass of myself all over the town
i've relapsed a few times but it's all good now
cause when i'm getting high my ratings never go down
i'm on the d-list of celebrity and thats a fact
my fifteen minutes of fame are long gone
and they aint never coming back
i got a stripper pregnant and i crashed my truck
after smoking crystal meth
then i got kicked off of the sober-living show
when i flunked my piss test
so now i'm back to where i was before
a washed up not -quite has-been
but you're still outside waiting in line
while my name's getting me in
im on the d-list
dont forget me i was that guy
i haven't spent half as much time on screen
as i have getting high
